School paste in a jar, with the brush in the lid - our first school glue. It was put on a piece of paper wipes and we were to use our fingers to spread it - or eat it - whatever!

Mr.. Rodgers!

Mr Rogers, part of my childhood! It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor. Won't you be mine?

1970s Dubble Bubble. These were your true flavored bubble gume. The comics were a nice treat that was wrapped around the gum when you removed the wrapper.

Double Bubble gum with comics - the gum was always hard as a rock. I remember one Christmas i received a small purse full of Double Bubble.

Library book due date cards.

library book check out card. Wow, my baby girl will never know the joy of this or the Dewey Decimal System! The SMELL of books and a library.

I was a natural at counting change, my parents owned a restaurant & yeap I worked there. Today I can give a cashier a dollar & a penny when its 1.26 and wow have I confused the heck out of them!

Remember when cashiers had to figure out how much change to give back? (Unfortunately, many cashiers can no longer count change back if the computer is not working;

Pin curls - I'm glad I can't remember the number of times I had to try to sleep in them when I was a little girl!

Comb damp hair Part into small sections. Wind each curl around your finger smoothly. Pin each curl in place with a bobby pin. In the morning remove pins and gently finger comb your hair.

Before there was the internet Vintage jump rope . . . we actually used to play . . . outside!

Vintage Braided Jump Rope (*jumping rope was a part of 'every' day with me )

I totally remember the metal skates with the keys that attached to your shoes.

Just like my old adjustable Metal Roller Skates. Remember the song, "I've got a brand new pair of roller skates, you got a brand new key"? My kids asked what the heck keys had to do with skates.

I remember getting told over and over to sit back because we were too close to the tv.

"don't sit so close to the tv, you'll ruin your eyes" - must have heard this one a thousand times. and then I had my right eye operated on, and then a patch oer my eye and still wanted to sit so close to the TV !

Hopscotch- finally found my playground sport

I used to play hopscotch every day in elementary school. A chain bracelet was my favorite marker.
