Growing Romaine lettuce from the leftover stumps. Why have I never thought of this? I know you can do this with green onions and avocado pits. To think of all the romaine lettuce stumps I've just tossed away!
Three sisters: Plant corn, beans and squash together. Corn takes nitrogen, beans replace and grow up the corn stalks, squash is a natural "mulch" moisture barrier. Native American method I'm trying this this year!
Harvesting Cilantro Each cilantro plant grows from the center and develops stems that branch out. Its best to harvest just the outer stems. This leaves the center of the plant undisturbed, allowing for future growth.
