The spider monkey is just that - spidery. Mostly dark brown and black all over they have long tails, spindly legs, little pot bellies, little heads, long hands and bare faces. They make their way through the jungle swinging acrobatically with their gangly long arms.

King of the Jungles ~Howler Monkeys sound like they are barking.

We saw Howler Monkeys in the trees along the side of the road while traveling to the Banana Plantation in Costa Rica.

Howler Monkeys can be heard from the cabina every day. With a few steps(down hill) towards the canopy of the trees, you will see them!
