As we visited one of the Oregon 9 historic lighthouses Yaquina Head Lighthouse we were greeted with a symphony of sounds just over the cliff as if there were hundreds of animals cackling and calling and talking with each other. As we wondered the lighthouse and peered over the edge this is what we saw! Cobble Beach was not only near Yaquina Head Lighthouse and the thousands of common murres (both in previous Instagram pictures) but also some fabulous tide pool and harbor seals. To get down to the tide pools we walked along the beach on these rocks or "cobblestones" hence the name Cobble Beach. They made a fabulous sound as a we walked. We had a great time exploring the pools and then realized that there were numerous harbor seals all around also and had lots of fun watching them as well…
