"Florida in the Civil War."  This classroom collection from Florida Memory has photos, documents, timeline, and history of Florida's role in the Civil War. William Denham of Monticello Denham was a private in the Florida Infantry. He was captured during his first skirmish, but he was released and recovered from his wounds. He later served in the Florida Cavalry and in Captain Scott's Florida Battalion.

Women of the Civil War In remembrance of the Union and Confederate soldiers who served in the American Civil War, the Liljenquist Family donated their rare collection of over 700 ambrotype and tintype photographs to the Library of Congress.
