A rare last picture of Hachiko's funeral, a dog who changed the way dogs were seen by the world. In 1924 at the University of Tokyo, professor Ueno took in Hachikō, a golden brown Akita.  Hachikō greeted him at the end of each day at Shibuya Station. This daily routine continued until May 1925, Professor Ueno suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and  never returned to the train station.   For nine years the dog waited at train station to see his owner; he died at aged 11,still waiting.
