Dinner dress Jeanne Hallée  (French, 1880–1914) Date: 1894–96 Culture: French Medium: cotton, silk, metal Dimensions: Length at CB (a): 19 in. (48.3 cm) Length at CB (b): 46 in. (116.8 cm). This dress captures the exuberance of the 1890s, especially in the lively polka dots and fanciful sleeve treatment. Jeanne Hallée was an important dressmaker at the time and extant examples of her designs are fairly rare.
