Spotted Owl Weather Vane by West Coast Weather Vanes.  we have used gold leaf on this weathervane to create the distinctive markings for which this bird is known. We even did a version of the Spotted Owl weathervane for one customer where the owl was clutching a cluster of grapes in its talons.

The Spotted Owl is the newest member of our owl weathervane family. To imply the distinct markings of this beautiful bird we apply gold leaf to the copper body. As you can see from the pictures above, some customers have ordered

British artist Tim Pugh makes elaborate artwork on site out of sticks, leaves, pine cones, and other found materials in nature. It sort of reminds me of Tibetan Buddhist sand paintings and Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty.
