Wall color and ceiling light. The wall dividing the living and dining rooms is opened up with a wide archway for a more open feel. The distinctive patterned ceiling tiles were retained but new recessed lighting and fixtures were added.
Rather than removing all the walls, we wanted to keep each space quaint yet still create a better flow for our clients. These arched openings we constructed not only open up the space but add character to the overall design.
Chip and Joanna expanded this kitchen entryway by cutting a wide archway, making both the kitchen and the dining room feel larger. Twin modern-industrial style chandeliers illuminate the kitchen island and dining table, as seen on HGTV's Fixer Upper.
