The Very Quiet Cricket - Picture Story Book. As you can tell, Carle is one of my favorite authors/illustrators! I love his books and definitely his drawings so much. This is great to teach about insects and different sounds they make. You could easily tie this story into a science lesson to teach kids about insects that are unfamiliar to them, a bug unit.
