Baratti Amphora, silver (4th century CE). Made in the Middle East, presumably in Antioch, this amphora is a rare example of late antique jewelry. It has 134 ovals with figures linked to the cult of Cybele. The Baratti Amphora was recovered from the seabed, entangled in the nets of a fishing vessel off the coast of Piombino, Tuscany, in 1968.
