Valley Trails - This photo was captured at Lost valley ski resort in Auburn Maine. It was taken at 3 am in the morning during a passover of the Polaris Circle. #worldbestshot_ig #jaysodd #skiing #beauty #newengland #majesticearth #startrails #nightshots #myexpedition #contest
1935 flood of the Androscoggin River at Topsham Mill , Maine. This is where the current Seadog restaurant is today.
Part 3 is "Popham Bliss", an amazing sunrise over Popham Beach in Phippsburg, Maine. Popham is an incredible beach with a very long history. The Popham colony first settled on these shores in 1607 but was only short lived. The colony was abandoned after only one year, apparently more due to family changes in the leadership ranks than lack of success in the New World. The loss of life of the colonists in 1607 and 1608 at Popham was far lower than that experienced at Jamestown
Sunset Glow - This photo was captured off of Popham Point outside of Phippsburg Maine. It was taken at the crest of the sunset to capture the wondrous glow that sweeps across the earth at this time of day! #travel #jaysodd #sunset #beauty #newengland #majesticearth #myexpedition #contest
Love this old photo...can you see she is even smiling!!! The love of sewing is eternal!!
Rise At The Head This photo was taken at Portland Headlight , Cape Elizabeth Maine just after sunrise. You will notice no tourists are in this photo, which for this place is rare. The reason is the park is closed from sunset to sunrise. I had to gain special permission from the park, and I met the Cape Elizabeth Police at the gates and they unlocked them for me. Perks of being a photojournalist. I had this view all to myself!
