Students will have fun learning all about final stable syllables with these activities. Students will identify words that have the /-le/ sound using -ble, -cle, -dle, -fli, -gle, -kle, -ple, -tle and -zle. This resource has 2 different activities. The first one is a picture sort. You can pick with-le ending you want to work with and sort the pictures in a pocket chart. The second activity is clip cards. Students will look at the picture and clip the final stable syllable for each card.
“Do you know why I'm showing you this pretty outfit this morning, James?” James was silent. “Well do you remember last week when we visited Aunt Joan and your cousin Mary asked you several times to stop flicking up her skirt?” Silence. “But you didn't stop, did you?” “And Mary asked, in her frustration, how you'd like it and you giggled.” “We're visiting them again today and you will be wearing these and some very girly undies too so Mary and her friends can have some fun teasing you.”
