Silk Damask 14th c. Peacocks and Gryphins  This silk damask is a replica of a 14th century textile found in Basilica of St. Mary in Gdańsk, Poland. It was made around 1350 in Lucca. This type of pattern was very popular since the 13th century - there are several similar extant textiles from the 13th and 14th centuries.
