Perfectly timed for my #pinotlosophy month. Thank you Stonier Wines for launching SIPNOT in Hong Kong for the inaugural International Pinot Noir Tasting today. Humbled to be a panelist today along with Mike Symons and Jeannie Cho Lee MW.
There is a certain BzzZzzZz around the store today with the arrival of this Queen Bee. #DomaineOfTheBee 2011 follows up on the acclaimed '09. Loved its predecessor but we actually prefer the '11 as Justin, Amanda & Philippe have come up with a dark, rich mix of blackberry and black pepper. Only argument in store is whether this should accompany dinner or if it's too good to not savour on its own. Glad the yield was generous for this vintage. Well done Bee team.
5. Grover Vineyards La Reserve Blanc - Established as Grover in 1992 and now known as Grover-Zamper through a clever JV, this winery is India's most respected premium wine producer. Acknowledged by a series of international gongs and medals, their focus on improving quality year after year has been excellent. The Viognier selected in this TOP12 was an amazing discovery whilst on my journey through their vineyards in shooting The Flying Winemaker TV show in 2013.
