External Trappings of king Tutankhamun's Mummy: Human-headed Ba-bird Pectoral. The Ba-bird was laid on top of the mummy's linen wrappings. It was fashioned of gold, and inlaid with precious stones. The shape of the body is one of a falcon, holding two "shen" symbols in its talons. Reign: c. 1332 - 1323BC. 18th Dynasty. Cairo Egyptian Museum.
