Explore Types Of Galaxies, The Universe, and more!

Space Image - The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has snapped the best ever image of the Antennae Galaxies. Once normal, sedate spiral galaxies like the Milky Way, the pair have spent the past few hundred million years sparring with one another. Carefully enhanced picture (with a special artistic treatment), looks like a realistic painting, the colors are more vivid and vibrant than in the original photo. Looks amazing as large print or poster. Credit for the original image: ESA/Hubble…

https://flic.kr/p/D3CxNa | Hubble Views a Galactic Mega-merger | The subject of this NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope image is known as NGC 3597. It is the product of a collision between two good-sized galaxies, and is slowly evolving to become a giant elliptical galaxy. This type of galaxy has grown more and more common as the universe has evolved, with initially small galaxies merging and progressively building up into larger galactic structures over time. NGC 3597 is located…

ESO’s Very Large Telescope in Chile has captured the most detailed image ever taken of the Medusa Nebula (Sharpless 2-274). As the star at the heart of this nebula is dying, it shed its outer layers into space, forming this colourful cloud. Located in the constellation of Gemini (The Twins), the Medusa Nebula spans approximately four light-years and lies at a distance of about 1500 light-years. Despite its size it is extremely dim and hard to observe.

Nebulous Strings in the Veil Nebula. This image shows a small portion of the Veil Nebula - the shattered remains of a supernova that exploded thousands of years ago. The Veil Nebula is located in the Constellation Cygnus about 1,500 light-years away. The entire structure spans about 3 degrees on the sky (about the size of 6 full moons). On a larger scale, the hot ionized gas that makes up this nebula forms a giant loop that is more than 100 light-years across. Credit: NASA/Hubble

A Black hole spewing its energy deep into space. (A gamma ray burst) Awesome.

Oh, such a beautiful purple and blue nebulae. I need to be careful that we don't go too 'deep space'. It's more sky and stars. But still, this is nice.
