A finalidade primordial das mandalas é de equilíbrio cósmico, harmonia entre espírito e matéria, uma vez que através da contemplação e concentração, a mandala proporciona percorrer o caminho evolutivo que vai de um estado de consciência puramente biológico até um estado de consciência espiritual.
Avalokiteshvara the Compassion Buddha, the embodiment of the universal compassion of all enlightened beings. He has a white in colour with four arms. His first two hands pressed together at his heart symbolize respect for his Spiritual Guide, a jewel symbolizing his own enlightenment. The white lotus flower, symbolizes his complete purity of body, speech and mind; and the crystal mala, symbolizes he can free all living beings from samsara.
Buddha Shakyamuni with Prajnaparamita : Buddha Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, with Great Mother Prajnaparamita, the manifestation of the perfection of wisdom of all Buddhas at his heart. This is the principal object of refuge in the practice of The Great Mother, the method to overcome hindrances and obstacles by reciting the Essence of Wisdom Sutra (the Heart Sutra).
Buddha Maitreya is the embodiment of the loving-kindness of all the Buddhas, whose function is to guide all beings along the stages of the path to enlightenment. His hands are in the gesture of teaching Dharma, holding the stems of two lotuses symbolizing his omniscient wisdom. The lotus on his right supports the Wheel of Dharma and the vase on his left is filled with life-giving nectars. On his crown is a stupa symbolizing his Spiritual Guide, Buddha Shakyamuni.
