❦ The Merwin Hulbert is an unsual gun and something of a mystery. Most people have never heard of them. They're very well made and accurate revolvers, though probably less reliable. They work by pushing a button in front of the trigger and then twisting the barrel and cylinder to the left and pushing it forward. All the cartridges are ejected simultaneously.  They all had 7" barrels and were pretty big, mostly chambered for the .44-40.
