Oil rubbed bronze
Step by step....(1)Purchased a ceiling medallion from my local home improvement store (2) Spray painted it gold using a gold metallic spray paint (3) with the help of a little antiquing glaze I ended up with (4)! The antiquing glaze plays up the character and dimension of the medallion...... Once the new bronze/crystal chandeliers are installed the antiquing is going to be a beautiful up-lit detail.
you buy a house and can't afford upgrades: Change out your builder grade brass shower trim using Rustoleum's Oil Rubbed Bronze spray paint ... what would cost you $800 to replace, will only cost you $5 to paint. Holds up well with the water because it is indoor/outdoor paint..... (Pinner says: I also did this with my light fixtures when we moved into our house)
Made from a lamp and curtain rod finial: A quick coat of spray paint, Rust-oleum's Paint and Primer in one Oil Rubbed Bronze. When completely dry, add a coat of aqua paint. With a cloth, gently rub off some of the aqua paint here and there to expose the Oil Rubbed Bronze and give it an aged worn look.
