DIY Geometric Mobile 1. choose your favorite shapes and find free templates. [my favorites: dodecahedron, octahedron, and icosahedron] 2. print the templates on test sheets of cardstock before the real stuff. 3. cut them out and fold on the lines (scoring helps). 4. use regular glue to glue the sides/tabs together. 5. don't forget to stick knotted string or wire in a corner before you finish the gluing. 6. string all your shapes onto something awesome and hang it up!
Fantastic PAPERWORK! Mini Eco is an UK mommy blog with a penchant for featuring colorful DIY tutorials, and one of the recent projects on there cleverly used platonic solids to make a decorative garland. The geometric shapes are lovely to look at in their symmetry, and she even includes the templates to each object so that you can print them out yourself.
