On Mt. Emeishan in China 2007 We walked our way up the incredibly monotones staircase for two days to get to the top. Each step was too wide to comfortably take two at a time and too low to walk one at a time, it put us strangely us off-kilter and was the most repetitive two days of hiking I've ever done. But an incredibly rewarding journey nonetheless and with stunning Buddhist temples.
