Vanity Ballroom -Detroit MI This fine example of Art Deco architecture is on the National Register of Historic Places, but it has sat vacant and deteriorating for several years. The Vanity's architect is Charles Agree, who also designed the Whittier Hotel and the Grande Ballroom. The building is also part of a City of Detroit Historic District and a National Register of Historic Places District (Jefferson-Chalmers Historic Business District).

Sinking Jewels - Woodward Ave Presbyterian Church, Detroit: although the outside of the church looks deceptively unscathed, the inside is another story, showing its years of decay and neglect.
