Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! Todo mundo já gritou assim um dia, ou pq viu uma barata, pra desestressar, ou pq tinha um psicopata no seu banheiro... eu grito meu desespero; tudo aquilo que sufoco, em algum lugar dentro de mim..
Die Hard - the great grand-daddy of the action movie genre. Understands that there are joys to the action genre than just action: creating a sense of place, character, tension, and contains a wonderful series of set ups and pay offs. Twice as smart as any other action movie.
To Kill a Mockingbird - now viewed as heartwarming and inspiration if a little too saccharine, it may be surprising to contemporary audiences how politically and socially astute it is. It is the type of film that is so unsentimental that it disarms you of your cynicism. This supremely well-made film shows that hope is not naive, but requires great moral courage that the self-ascribed "realists" lack. It also contains one of the greatest performances of all time by Gregory Peck.
West Side Story - by no means is this Robert Wise's best film, the performances are cringe inducing performances but at some point you have to evaluate a musical based on the music and the dancing and by that measure West Side Story is the finest of all musicals. The work of Leonard Bernstein and Jerome Robbins is astounding.
Babe - the Citizen Kane of talking pig movies, only its better than citizen kane. No really, this "kids" movie was nominated for 7 academy awards including best picture, director, screenplay, and supporting actor.
Musical é um dos gêneros mais antigos do cinema. De extremos, há quem ame e há quem odeie os diálogos cantados e as canções por todos os lados. Independente da opinião sobre eles, é quase impossível passar imune e jamais assistir ao menos a um deles.
