AVERY GREGORY on Instagram: "I love the sounds of pebbles on canvas so so much. These are “retired” piddock stones - after the boring clams have vacated, they leave pieces of shale full of holes. The shale is so brittle it breaks quite easily on the beach, making for some really good shapes after the waves and sand have polished them up a bit. Lots of 〰 〰〰✨"
Jane Haselden on Instagram: "Whale Beach - 1, 2 and 3. We have favourite beaches for different things. Beaches that are great for just walking and blowing the cobwebs away, beaches that are best when we're in the mood to look for creatures, beaches for pottery, beaches for shells, beaches for wading in, up to our knees. One beach that we love, just because there's always something interesting to find, is Whale Beach. That's not its real name, but it's what we call it and often when I ask my kids where they'd like to go walking, Whale Beach is first choice. I particularly love the rich variety of textures on this walk. There are so many beautiful rocks, many of you will have seen them in my stories.
