I loved this scene the moment I set eyes on it. In Naples there is a type of house known as a 'bassi' which opens directly onto the street. The people that live in these houses use the street as their 'salotto',loungeroom. In summer they drag their entire houses outside to eat with the family, hangout or in this man's case to relax.
