Juno represents all the major aspects of womanhood. She took pride in the birth of children and marriage. For this reason, when minerva was born from Jupiter's head, Juno was envious of him. Juno was the daughter of Saturn, making her the goddess of the new moon and passing of time, and the 28 day month of the menstrual cycle. Her influence led many women to demand money from their husbands and religious/government leaders to bring to the temple and the temples of other goddess's. The Movie Juno tells the story of teen Juno who gets pregnant and must choose adoptive parents. Juno views childbirth and marriage as sacred. The film portrays childbirth and life lessons as Juno picks the most fit married couple to adopt her baby, as Juno (god) influences marriage. The film teaches the faults of marriage when the father she chooses starts to gain feelings for Juno. It shows the impact of infidelity that Juno and Jupiter know.

Hera plays an almost identical role in Greek mythology as  Juno in Roman. Hera was married to Zeus, and was also the goddess of childbirth and marriage and sought to protect married women. Similar to Juno, Hera and Zeus had a rocky marriage.
