This edge to edge design is a variation of the Swirl hook design. The three hops in the design make it look like a flower or the head of an exotic bird. it uses echoes to move to a new location while creating a playful and floral look. The design would be lovely on a bigger project like a quilt or a quilt coat. It would look great on a quilt with the following themes: flowers /floral, birds, garden, nature. This border design is a variation on the classic Ribbon Candy pattern. The design is constructed as a series of hearts. The hearts also contain hearts, doubling up on the love! The free motion design is stitched out on a long rectangle, like in a border or sashing. This border pattern works well on table runners, bags and pillows or any quilt that has washings or is constructed out of strips of fabric.
