The Cathedral of Brasília is the Roman Catholic cathedral serving Brasília, Brazil, and serves as the seat of the Archdiocese of Brasília. It was designed by Oscar Niemeyer, and was completed and dedicated on May 31, 1970
The Cathedral of Brasilia was designed by archietct Oscar Niemeyer and built in the early 70s on the Esplanade of the Ministries (Mall) that leads up to the Congress. The trees in the foreground are the spectacular Ipê Roxo (Tabebuia impetiginosa).
