TOPAZ AND DIAMOND DEVANT DE CORSAGE, PORTUGUESE SECOND HALF OF THE 18TH CENTURY. Designed as a stylised open work tied ribbon bow, centring on a circular cluster, suspending a pear-shaped drop, set with foil backed mixed-cut topaz, table- and rose-cut diamonds, detachable drop.

Of stylised flower head design decorated with foil backed mixed-cut chrysoberyl, highlighted by a circular-cut ruby, to surrounds of foliage and suspending an articulated open work tassel set with mixed-cut chrysoberyl, later brooch fitting, original unusually shaped tooled leather fitted case.
