Grilling and Smoking Recipes - The Barbecue Magazine
Scotch Buns – Old Recipe: This is a recipe my wife has had now for 40 years. She cut this out of a Good Housekeeping magazine when she was a teenager. Just take a look at the photo below. I scanned the original cut out in. These are also called “Sticky Buns” by some. My wife left out the nuts on top. Only because she doesn’t like nuts, and neither did most in her family as she made them often. I personally prefer nuts, but I’m in the minority on the “Nut” issue!
Skibo Castle Ginger Crunch - Dinner With Julie
Skibo Castle Ginger Crunch -- It’s Scottish; a thin, cooked-till-golden layer of shortbread (made with ginger), topped with a layer of melted butter, icing sugar and Lyle’s (or Rogers’) Golden Syrup (made with ginger), but is so much more than shortbread topped with icing. Über simple, totally inexpensive, makes lots.
