An empanada or empanadilla (called pastel in Brazilian Portuguese) is a stuffed bread or pastry baked or fried in many countries in South Europe, Latin America, and parts of Southeast Asia. The name comes from the Galician, Portuguese and Spanish verb empanar, meaning to wrap or coat in bread. #VirginGorda #FatVirginCafe #BVI's #BritishVirginIslands #Caribbean #Food

Caldo Verde. Probably my favorite soup in the whole world. Memories of pots of this soup simmering in my grandma's tiny house, filling the neighborhood with the yummiest, most comforting smells. Fresh Portuguese bread, queijinho fresco and an agua das Pedras Salgadas. I want to go home to Portugal!!!!
