daily objective dry erase boards.....not just for teachers!

While browsing spending hours poring through my Pinterest boards over the past few weeks, I've been inspired to change up some things ...

One of my favorite things is decorating a classroom! Maybe because we spend 8+ hours a day there. Sneak peak from my sisters room that we set up last week. She displays her expectations for the first few minutes of class along with her objective, agenda, etc. Link in IG profile. #BestClassroomEver

Great idea for elementary or self contained classroom, or could do for middle school, with each period instead of subject

Easy Objectives Display

Are you required to post your objectives? I was looking for a way to make this easy to do and I found it! A couple years ago I created an objectives bulletin board and it was ruined this summer during my move to my new classroom. My original display took about six hours to make with my Cricut. I decided to remake it this time with my new clip art that is perfect for this project! To create this bulletin board, I cut out the headings and glued them onto my scrapbook paper. I then laminated…

My classroom!

Hi friends! Today was our second day of school..and, well, it went better than the first!! ha! I always forget how tiring these first few weeks in kindergarten is! I'm here to show you a few pictures of my classroom! I always feel like it's a work in progress all year. And I hate how bare my walls are right now...but just give it a few weeks and anchor charts will be plastered everywhere! This is the view standing at my door. I am SO jeajous of all of you with windows! I have none! I never…

Classroom Tour 2014-2015 - Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits

Whew…it happened. I got to a happy place in the room today. I hope it will be a wonderful space for my incoming first graders. Before we start with the zillions of pictures let me just say that there is very little content on the walls to start. All the blank spots are meant for […]

Task 1: Objective ideas, will help with shaping behavior because i would always write my objectives for the day on the board

School Tour Continued! - Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits

The last time I blogged, I shared some pictures from classrooms in my school. I assure you we could do this every day for a month, and I would still have more to share! Tonight was our Meet the Teacher Night so before all the fun began I was able to visit a couple more […]

Lesson objective display. Although the lesson "I Can" statement is presented in a Prezi everyday, this is on constant display throughout the lesson. Additionally, visitors to the classroom can see what we are up to!

Ms. Motta's Mixed Media: Displaying Standards- I'm totally changing my objective boards this year!

Displaying Standards

I recently stole my goals display from my fabulous music teacher neighbor at school, and I thought I'd share! These are written in kid friendly language, and I have also incorporated the magnets from my word wall that I can place right into my "I can statements." I separated the grade levels by using blue painters tape directly on my white board, and die cut letters to label the grades. You can do this too. Keep your students on track, keep yourself on track, and impress your administrators!

This is a cute, yet effective way to make sure the objectives of the day are clear and readily available to look back on. Teachers can easily change out and save the sentence strips daily. This is also a good way to make sure that anyone walking into your class (like administration or other teachers) can know exactly what the goals are for the day.

Posting Learning Targets

Our school implemented a "push" to post and articulate our learning goals for each lesson this year. Teaching all subjects, can make planning a very overwhelming task. I posted my agenda daily on the white board with at least one standard next to each item on our agenda. I found it easier writing them out then digging through the printed ones that I had made up. I wish I took a picture of my daily agenda. Here are a few boards that I like from Pinterest I found this beneficial for me and my…
